Erasmus plus KA 201 \u201cCompuT\u201d<\/b> \u201cCompu<\/b>tational T<\/b>hinking at School\u201d Project code: 2019-1-EL01-KA201-062883<\/h3>\n

Fourth LTTA held in Bergen from June 27th to July 1st, 2022<\/h4>\n


\nThe fourth face-to-face meeting for the Erasmus + CA201 project “Computational thinking at school” was successfully held in Bergen, Norway from June 27th to July 1st, 2022. The general coordination and overall supervision of the meeting was held by the Fyllingsdalen High School while the meeting was attended by representatives of many of the educational partners of the project – institutions and schools.<\/p>\n

The meeting in Norway started with the most impressive way. On Monday, the 27th of June, the participants had the opportunity to drive through the mighty fiord landscape of Hardanger and experience the beauty of the fiords, high mountains, glaciers, stunning waterfalls and farms, as well as to enjoy homemade delicacies.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, 28\/06\/2022 all the participants met at the hosting school. The day started with a guided tour of the school which also included the use of VR glasses. After a short coffee break, the charge was taken by the Norwegian team with the presentation of an educational scenario that utilizes the BBC Micro: Bit for the construction and programming of \u201cuseless robots\u201d. This was followed by a workshop during which the participants were divided into groups and were asked to build their own \u201cuseless robot\u201d in order to take part in the relevant competition. The day concluded with the robots presentation, the awarding of the prizes to the winners and a dinner at the school where both small talk and deep conversations took place.

On Wednesday, 29\/06\/2022 the participants met again at school, this time to attend a presentation related to ways of utilizing a data logger in learning scenarios in the physics class. After an extensive and very productive discussion provoked by this presentation, the baton was passed to the University of the Aegean team which presented a CT scenario that has been developed by the 2nd Lyceum of Rhodes and relates the study of Cam Carpets to mathematics. Wednesday’s meeting concluded with a guided tour of the historic Bryggen area in the center of Bergen.<\/p>\n

The morning of the next day was dedicated to a visit at the Vilvite science and technology center, in Bergen (https:\/\/www.vilvite.no\/en<\/a>). Initially, a scientist working at the center gave an introductory presentation\/demonstration regarding the purpose of the specific institution and the possibilities it provides to teachers and students, with special emphasis on the programs provided in relation to learning to computer programming in unplugged ways. A discovery tour of the exhibition on VilVite followed, during which the participants had the chance to play with and explore many of the interactive installations of the center.<\/p>\n

In the evening, all the participants gathered together again for a walk on the top of Ulriken, the highest of Bergen’s seven mountains, a walk that offers great views all the way.

On the last day of the training meeting, certificates of participation were awarded to all participants, an evaluation of the meeting and the progress of the project as a whole was made, while the appointment was renewed for the last meeting of the project, in mid-July, in Kos, Greece.
