Erasmus plus KA 201 “CompuT” “Computational Thinking at School” Project code: 2019-1-EL01-KA201-062883

Third LTTA held in Tenerife from 23rd February to 1st March 2022

The third face-to-face meeting for the Erasmus+ KA201 project “Computational thinking at School” was successfully held in Tenerife from 23rd February to 1st March 2022 under the coordination of the CEP La Laguna and the IES El sobradillo. This third meeting was attended by representatives of 8 educational organizations and schools from the participating countries, namely Spain, Portugal, Norway and Greece.

The meetings of the project delegates took place at the IES El Sobradillo, General and Vocational Education School, the Teacher Training Center, CEP La Laguna, and the University of La Laguna, where educational scenarios of computational thinking were presented and workshops were held in the classrooms in order to make a connection between theory and practice. Thus, the participants had the opportunity to get in touch with an innovative process in educational reality, to exchange views on the possibilities of its application in school and to turn their ideas into learning activities. At the same time, they had the opportunity to get to know other educational systems and use this experience in their own school reality.

On Wednesday, 23/2/2022 a visit was made to the hosting school IES El Sobradillo, during which there was a tour of the laboratories and other premises of the school and working meetings with directors, teacher trainers and teachers took place.

The next day, the participants visited the CEP La Laguna where a lecture on Computational Thinking was given. Α tour of the facilities and the future lab followed where participants were able to see 3D printers and many robotic components, tools and structures etc. After a short coffee break, the University of Aegean team presented some of the CT scenarios that have been developed so far and are included in the CT Integration guide for teachers.

On Friday, 25/02/2022 the participants visited the robotic laboratory at La Laguna University and had sessions on Computational thinking concepts. Teachers attended a workshop that promoted an algorithmic approach to problem solving, utilizing robotic simulation software.

On the last day of this training meeting, an assessment was made on the progress of the program so far, while specific goals and milestones were set. The appointment was renewed for the next meeting in Norway.
