Final LTTA held in Kos from July 18th to July 22nd, 2022
The fifth and final face-to-face meeting for the Erasmus + KA201 project “Computational thinking at school” was held in Kos Island, Greece from the 18th to the 22nd of July, 2022. The general coordination and overall supervision of the meeting was held by the Secondary School of Zipari while the meeting was attended by representatives of all the educational partners of the project – institutions and schools.
On the first day of the meeting, all participants gathered at the premises of the hosting school, where the groups were initially presented and a presentation related to Digital Learning and Open Coding, followed.
On the next day, the participants had the chance to take a boat-trip to Nisyros, a small island near Kos that is most well-known for its active volcano with one of the world’s largest hydrothermal craters that can be easily visited. After the guided tour of the volcano, the participants were free to take a stroll through the picturesque village of Mandraki as well as to visit the monastery of Panagia Spiliani, which is built into the rock and caves inside an old Venetian castle.
The next two days were dedicated to getting to know the island and the town of Kos. Through guided as well as free tours, the participants had the opportunity to visit interesting monuments –such as the Asklipeion and Hippocrates temple- and enjoy the beauties of the island and the town of Kos.
On the last day of the meeting, there was a discussion on the evaluation of the program as well as on the remaining actions for the completion of the project. All participants worked together to coordinate and plan what each one should do until the close of the project. Finally, in an emotionally charged atmosphere, certificates of participation were awarded to all participants.
